Ok, so we realize you probably have some questions.  We will do our best to answer them.  If they aren’t answered here, or would just like more information, you can always email us.

General Questions

Is this a real website?

HAHA! Yes, this is 100% a real site.  We get asked this all the time.

Will my credit card/billing say “GetBackMyPorn.Com”?

No.  Billing is done by our actual company name, Vicious Data Recovery Services LLC

Will you really help me get back my porn?

Absolutely, and anything else you may have lost on your drive that you would like recovered.

Are you really a porn recovery company?

We are a data recovery company.  There are many data recovery companies out there and we realized that perhaps we could build a niche and a marketing brand to stand out from the seemingly thousands of other data recovery companies that have sprung up overnight with no training and few tools.

I am an avid collector of illegal/underage content and I recently lost my data, are you the company for me?

Absolutely not.  Our lawyers wanted to make sure we were crystal clear that we do NOT deal in any kind of underage or illegal content of any kind.  We don’t want it, we don’t want to see it.  We will contact the proper authorities.

What kinds of porn will you recover?

from the plain to the insane; regular vanilla to crazy gorilla; whatever flies your freak flag high.  After decades on the internet, we have either read about it, seen it, or watched a documentary all about it.  We really and truly don’t care so long as it’s legal & was done with the consent of everyone involved.

Will you share my porn with others?

No.

How much of my porn will you see during your recovery?

It varies depending on the level of damage & the type of recovery.  We may only need to take a look at 1 out of few hundred files to verify the recovery worked.  If the recovery is very intensive & hands on, we may have to look at files more often to validate the integrity of the data.

How do I get my porn back?

Porn smaller than 9 gigabytes will arrive to you in two DVDs.  Any data larger than 9 gigabytes will be shipped to you on an external USB drive formatted for the file system of the original computer.  This means if you had a computer running windows, it will be formatted NTFS and if you have an Apple, it will be formatted HFS+ unless otherwise requested.

Do you ship me back my original drive?

Original media can be returned upon request, or the customer can choose to have it destroyed at the end of recovery.  We keep a bin here for scrap aluminum — we call it our beer fund.  We 100% strongly advise you not to use your original drive if you choose to have it sent back to you; odds are it was limped back to life for recovery & there’s no guarantee how long it will last beyond that.

I really like your logo. Can you tell me who made it?

Our logo was created by a very talented artist named Mark Wasyl of www.dropdeadsexy.net If you decide to hire him (which I highly recommend), please let him know you saw his work here.  He also designed our website, and we think he did a fantastic job on both.

Time and Money

I need my porn back NOW!! Can I pay you extra?

Yes, there is a rush charge to be placed closer to the front of the line.  Rush drives are placed at the front of the line in a first pay, first play basis.

Do you have a “no recovery, no fee” policy?

No.  We think that this is a terrible way to drum up business.  Doctors and Surgeons still need to be paid, even if the patient doesn’t make it and heroic measures are used.  We do the same thing here.  Based on the diagnosis of your drive that we provide you, if you decide to move forward with the recovery then we proceed with recovery in the hopes of getting data.  This means we are working on your drive instead of someone else’s drive and that recovery time translates to dollars.

How long does a recovery take?

Several factors play into the time required to diagnose, repair, and successfully recover a customer’s data.  The level of damage and proper sourcing of spare internal parts and repair of micro-circuitry are the three main concerns and the time to recover can vary from a few days to weeks and in extreme cases even months.

Do you guarantee that you can recovery my porn?

A guarantee of success is just not possible in this industry.  Anyone who has seen “The Princess Bride” knows that “There’s a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive.”  So if your drive is “all dead” then there is nothing that could be done to recover your data.  What we can assure you of is that your drive will be handled in the most professional manner by someone who has years of experience in the data recovery & computer forensics industries and will try every method possible to recover your information.  Odds are good if we can’t do it for you, it can’t be done.

How long do you keep my porn after the recovery is completed?

Files are stored on our servers for 30 days after delivery is confirmed. we feel that 30 days is long enough for you to get your porn back on a new drive, verify your files are readable, and prevent any unforeseen circumstances (drive gets lost in return shipping; new drives fails, etc). If you are willing to accept the risk, you can specifically state that you do not want us to store your data. Be aware this could result in a double recovery fee if anything should go wrong in returning your data to you.

What happens after 30 days? will you store it for longer?

After 30 days, if we receive no complaints, we will completely erase your data beyond recovery. Currently we do not offer data warehousing & archival services.

I heard some so called “data recovery” companies are just fronts for larger companies overseas.  Do you ship my drive outside the US?

No.  Your drive never leaves the United States of America.

Are your employees trustworthy?

All of our employees are US Citizens and currently all data recovery engineers are not only US citizens but have received many government background investigations and are cleared at the Top Secret level.  Your porn (and your personal information) is safe with us.

Technical

For security purposes, my information is encrypted.  Can you help me?

We can work with encrypted container files and even whole disk encryption.  However, we can’t validate that the files and data we recover is accurate unless you provide us the password.  The password is not required for recovery and we will “blind recover” your drive at your request.  Please be aware that just because we can’t verify blind recoveries doesn’t mean we won’t charge you for the recovery.  Blind recoveries of encrypted information are done on a non-refundable basis.
